In this section, I’m providing a quick explainer about the key improvements on HackPack 2.0, so you can best rock the platform and get more jobs.
Today, we’re talking about References
If you visit any user’s profile, the first thing you see is their References. This is because clients often revert to references first when deciding who to work with. You can attain a reference in two ways:
Send a reference request to a previous client
Complete a project on HackPack and both you and the client are requested to review each other
When leaving a reference, you leave a descriptive as well as a numeric reference. Numeric references are not visible to anyone but the user who received it and the average numeric reference will play a role in how high you appear in the Search.
PS - Everyone hates updating profiles on all of these various platforms, especially when all of the data is yours to begin with. So we’re going to help you out.
If you would like references you’ve received on other platforms displayed on your HackPack profile, write to team@hackpack.press with the link to your profile on the other platform. We’ll then ensure that your reference data is properly migrated to your HackPack profile.
